PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction brake device which can reduce clonk sound with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A friction brake device of a vehicle is equipped with: a rotary member which rotates together with a wheel; a friction member; a support member which supports the friction member; a pressing member which presses the friction member onto the rotary member; control means which controls pressing of the pressing member on the basis of at least braking operation by a driver; position acquisition means which acquires a position of the friction member with respect to the rotary member; and travel direction detection means which detects a travel direction of the vehicle. The control means controls pressing of the pressing member on the basis of a position even when there is no braking operation by the driver when a state such that the travel direction of the vehicle is reversed is detected, and presses the friction member onto the rotary member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】簡便な構成でクロンク音を低減し得る摩擦制動装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車輪と共に回転する回転部材と、摩擦部材と、摩擦部材を支持する支持部材と、摩擦部材を回転部材に対して押圧する押圧部材と、少なくとも運転者の制動操作に基づいて押圧部材の押圧を制御する制御手段と、回転部材に対する摩擦部材の位置を取得する位置取得手段と、車両の進行方向を検出する進行方向検出手段と、を備え、制御手段は、車両の進行方向が逆転する状況が検出されたときには、運転者の制動操作がなくても位置に基づいて押圧部材の押圧を制御し、摩擦部材を回転部材に対して押圧する。【選択図】図2
