PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that reduces a cost, has excellent energy density etc. and is capable of improving fuel economy.SOLUTION: A power supply system comprises: a composite power storage device (Pb battery, NiZn battery) capable of receiving regenerative power supplied from an alternator; a charge/discharge changeover unit for changing over charging/discharging current of the power storage device; a voltage conversion unit that is inserted between the charge/discharge changeover unit and the NiZn battery to convert voltage of the regenerative power; and a control unit for estimating an SOC of the NiZn battery to control the charge/discharge changeover unit on the basis of the estimated SOC of the NiZn battery. The control unit controls the charge/discharge changeover unit so as to charge the NiZn battery to the use upper limit SOC (S102 to 114) before charging the Pb battery (S116), in receiving the regenerative power; and make the NiZn battery discharge power to a second SOC (S202 to 208) before making the Pb battery discharge power (S210), in discharging power to a discharge load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】低コストでエネルギ密度等に優れ燃費向上可能な電源システムを提供する。【解決手段】電源システムは、オルタネータから供給される回生電力を受け入れ可能な複合蓄電デバイス(Pb電池、NiZn電池)と、蓄電デバイスの充放電電流を切り替える充放電切替部と、充放電切替部とNiZn電池との間に挿入され回生電力の電圧を変換する電圧変換部と、NiZn電池のSOCを推定し推定したNiZn電池のSOCに基づいて充放電切替部を制御する制御部とを備えている。制御部は、回生電力を受け入れる際、NiZn電池を使用上限SOCまで充電した後(S102〜114)Pb電池を充電し(S116)、放電負荷に放電する際、NiZn電池を第2のSOCまで放電した後(S202〜208)Pb電池から放電するように充放電切替部を制御する(S210)。【選択図】図4
