PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnosis device of a moving handrail for a passenger conveyor in which the unnecessary irradiation of radiation can properly be prevented in an open state even if an openable type box body structure is adopted and security measures are given sufficiently.SOLUTION: A deterioration diagnosis device of a moving handrail S of the present invention is characterized in that the periphery of the other part sensor except one opening side 1 sensor positioned in an outward opening side is covered by a cylindrical shield component and separated in an open state of a box body, concerning a line sensor in a radiation receiver of a radiation device 4 obtaining a transmitted image across the moving handrail 2 of an escalator 100, and thereby the 1 sensor is used for detection of external light in an open state of the box body and the other part sensor is used for transmission detection during irradiation of radiation in a closed state of the box body. A radiation control device 5 has a function of stopping the irradiation of the radiation in the radiation generating part of the radiation device 4 when a detection level in the external light detection in an open state of the box body by the 1 sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold value. Accordingly, when the box body becomes an open state and external light enters therein, the irradiation of the radiation is stopped automatically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】開閉式の箱体構造を採用しても開状態で適確に放射線の不要な照射を防止でき、安全対策が十分に施された乗客コンベア用移動手摺劣化診断装置を提供する。【解決手段】この移動手摺劣化診断装置Sでは、エスカレータ100の移動手摺2を挟んで透過像を得る放射線装置4の放射線受光部におけるラインセンサについて、箱体の開状態で外方の開口側に位置される1つの開口側1センサを除く他部センサの周囲を筒状の遮光部材で覆って分離したことにより、1センサが箱体の開状態での外光の検出用とされ、他部センサが箱体の閉状態での放射線の照射時の透過検出用とされており、放射線制御装置5において、1センサによる箱体の開状態での外光検出時の検出レベルが所定の閾値を超過したときに放射線装置4の放射線発生部での放射線の照射を停止させる機能を持つため、箱体が開状態になって外光が入り込むと自動的に放射線の照射が停止される。【選択図】図2
