PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device capable of suppressing occurrence of inductive interference by preventing a narrow pulse from being generated regardless of a high/low carrier frequency.SOLUTION: The power conversion device includes a control part 20 which has: a modulation wave generation part 6 for generating a modulation wave that is synchronized with an output voltage command of a power conversion part 2; and a carrier generation part 5 for generating a carrier of which the frequency is higher than that of the modulation wave, the control part 20 controlling the power conversion part 2 by outputting a switching signal for driving a switching element by comparing the modulation wave with the carrier. If a modulation factor in converting DC power into AC power is equal to or higher than a mode switching modulation factor that is lower than π/4, the power conversion part 2 converts DC power into AC power in an over modulation mode for stopping switching the switching element for a period in which the output voltage command becomes positive and which is longer than one cycle of the carrier in a first period including the timing in which the output voltage command becomes a positive peak value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
