PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation characteristic adjusting device for a vehicle that achieves excellent nonlinear characteristics with respect to relation between displacement and operation force of a braking operation member and the device can be downsized.SOLUTION: An operation characteristic adjusting device for a vehicle comprises: a spring member which generates spring force for a braking operation member; an electric motor MTR which applies adjusting force to the braking operation member; control means of controlling the adjusting force through the electric motor MTR; and operation displacement acquiring means of acquiring operation displacement Bpa of the braking operation member. The control means is configured to drive the electric motor MTR in a first direction Rvs when the operation displacement Bpa is less than a predetermined value bpx, and to drive the electric motor MTR in a second direction Fwd opposite to the first direction Rvs when the operation displacement Bpa exceeds the predetermined value bpx.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
