PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that enables a passenger to escape when lifting of an elevator is disabled.SOLUTION: When an elevator during a lifting operation stops due to an earthquake, a failure, or power cut, and its operation is disabled, an elevator car 2 is separated into an attachment part 3 for a hoisting wire rope 1 and a chamber part 5 for passengers. A passenger of the chamber part opens a door 7 of the chamber part by hand, causes the chamber part 5 to be lowered until the floor surface 6 of the chamber becomes flush with the floor surface 10 of the building, and, by opening a door 11 of the building by hand as well, escapes to the building. Methods for lowering the chamber part 5 are: the pressure beneath a piston in a hydraulic cylinder 13 installed on the attachment part for a hoisting wire rope is released to lower the chamber part 5; a long square screw rod 29 is rotated to lower the chamber part 5; and a wire rope 39 is unwound by a small hoist 38 installed on the attachment part 3 for a hoisting wire rope to lower the chamber part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】エレベーターの昇降が不可能になったとき、乗客の脱出を可能にする装置を提供する。【解決手段】地震、故障又は停電により昇降中のエレベーターが停止し運行不可能な状態になったとき、エレベーターの籠2を巻上用ワイヤーロープ1の取付部3と乗客用の室部5とに分離し、この室部の乗客が室部の扉7を手動で開き、この室の床面6が建物の床面10と面一になるまで室部5を降下させた後、建物の扉11も手動で開いて建物に脱出する、この室部5の降下方法としては、巻上用ワイヤーロープ取付部上に設置された油圧シリンダー13内のピストン下の圧力を逃がして室部5を降下させる、又長尺の角ねじ棒29を回転して室部5を降下させる、及び巻上用ワイヤーロープ取付部3上に設置された小型巻上機38で、ワイヤーロープ39を巻戻して室部5を降下させる方法がある。【選択図】図2
