PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining battery capacity calculation system and a remaining battery capacity calculation method capable of accurately calculating the remaining capacity of a battery.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a remaining battery capacity calculation system 100 capable of calculating the remaining capacity of a battery 20, wherein the system is characterized in being provided with: a basic remaining capacity calculation unit 70 for calculating a basic remaining capacity using the initial capacity and the state of charge (SOC) of the battery 20; a degradation degree calculation unit 70 for calculating the degradation degree D of the battery 20; a first correction value calculation unit 70 for calculating a first correction value based on a capacity degradation state by using the degradation degree D; a second correction value calculation unit 70 for calculating a second correction value based on a discharge state by using a discharge current and the degradation degree D; and an actual remaining capacity calculation unit 70 for calculating an actual remaining capacity by using the basic remaining capacity, the first correction value, and the second correction value.
