PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle control unit capable of suppressing an increase in charge time at a time of charging a battery from an external power supply and improving a state of charge.SOLUTION: A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle P-HEV that includes a driving motor 1 serving as a running driving source, a battery 2 chargeable from an external power supply, an engine 12 serving as a power generation driving source, and a charge control circuit 10a generating heat at a time of charging the battery 2, comprises an engine control unit controlling the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle P-HEV to run in an EV mode of stopping the engine 12 until a battery state of charge reaches a target charge point if a battery SOC is equal to or smaller than an EV possible state of charge that is a state of charge in which the EV mode can be set, and driving the engine 12 to drive a power generator 3 if the battery SOC is equal to or smaller than this EV possible state of charge.

    【課題】外部電源からバッテリに充電する際の充電時間の増大を抑えると共に、充電量の向上を図ることができるプラグインハイブリッド車両の制御装置を提供すること。【解決手段】走行駆動源としての駆動用モータ1と、外部電源からの充電が可能なバッテリ2と、発電駆動源としてのエンジン12と、バッテリ2の充電時に発熱する充電制御回路10aと、を備えたプラグインハイブリッド車両P−HEVにおいて、バッテリSOCが、目標充電地点に到達するまでエンジン12を停止するEVモードに設定可能な量であるEV可能充電量以上であれば、目標充電地点に到達するまでEVモードとし、バッテリSOCがこのEV可能充電量以下であれば、エンジン12を駆動して発電装置3を駆動するエンジン制御部を備える構成とした。【選択図】図4
