PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating solar power generation system which can be installed even on ocean having a deep water depth and whose power generation efficiency can be improved.SOLUTION: A floating solar power generation system 1 includes: a mooring buoy 22 which is moored on the sea bottom by a mooring rope 25; a floating island 51 which is moored by the mooring buoy 22 so as to be rotatable for the mooring buoy 22 and floats on the water surface; a plurality of floating solar cell panels 11 which are arranged on the water surface around the floating island 51 and are connected to one another; and connection ropes 53 which connect the floating island 51 and the plurality of floating solar cell panels 11 together. The floating solar power generation system 1 desirably further includes a propulsion device 30 for generating a propulsive force for rotating the floating island 51 and a swivel joint 24 which connects a power transmission cable 3 and power lines from the plurality of floating solar cell panels 11 together.
