PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision detector capable of improving collision detection accuracy by reducing a clearance formed on the vehicle front side or rear side of a detection tube member in a groove portion formed in a bumper absorber.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision detector 1 comprises: a bumper absorber 2 that is a shock absorption member provided within a vehicle bumper 7; a detection tube member 3 attached to a groove portion 2a formed in the bumper absorber 2 along a vehicle width direction, provided on a vehicle front side of a bumper reinforcement 9, and including a hollow portion 3a formed inside; and a pressure sensor detecting an internal pressure of the hollow portion 3a of the detection tube member 3. The vehicle collision detector 1 detects a collision of an object (pedestrian) against the bumper 7 on the basis of a pressure detection result of the pressure sensor. The vehicle collision detector 1 further comprises a filler member 5 filled into a clearance formed on the vehicle front side of the detection tube member 3 in the groove portion 2a.

    【課題】バンパアブソーバに形成された溝部内における検出用チューブ部材の車両前方側または後方側に形成される隙間を小さくして衝突検知精度を向上させた車両用衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用衝突検知装置1は、車両のバンパ7内に配設された衝撃吸収用部材であるバンパアブソーバ2と、バンパアブソーバに車幅方向に沿って形成された溝部2aに装着されると共にバンパレインフォースメント9の車両前方側に配設される内部に中空部3aが形成された検出用チューブ部材3と、検出用チューブ部材3の中空部3a内の圧力を検出する圧力センサとを有する。この車両用衝突検知装置1は、圧力センサによる圧力検出結果に基づいてバンパ7への物体(歩行者)の衝突を検知する。そして、溝部2a内における検出用チューブ部材3の車両前方側に形成される隙間に充填される充填部材5を備えている。【選択図】図3
