PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a bead filler excellent in low heat generation properties and high modulus after vulcanization, and a pneumatic tire produced using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: Provided is a rubber composition for a bead filler comprising a diene rubber, carbon black and a nitrone compound having a carboxyl group, in which the diene rubber includes a natural rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber, the total of the natural rubber in the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound is 60 mass% or above, the content of the styrene-butadiene rubber in the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound is 40 mass% or lower, the content of the carbon black is 40 to 80 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound, and the content of the nitrone compound is 0.1 to 10 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound.

    【課題】加硫後に低発熱性に優れ、かつ、モジュラスが高い、ビードフィラー用ゴム組成物、および、上記ゴム組成物を用いて製造した空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ジエン系ゴムと、カーボンブラックと、カルボキシ基を有するニトロン化合物とを含有し、上記ジエン系ゴムが天然ゴムとスチレンブタジエンゴムとを含み、上記ジエン系ゴムと上記ニトロン化合物との合計中の上記天然ゴムの含有量が60質量%以上であり、上記ジエン系ゴムと上記ニトロン化合物との合計中の上記スチレンブタジエンゴムの含有量が40質量%以下であり、上記カーボンブラックの含有量が、上記ジエン系ゴムと上記ニトロン化合物との合計100質量部に対して、40〜80質量部であり、上記ニトロン化合物の含有量が、上記ジエン系ゴムと上記ニトロン化合物との合計100質量部に対して、0.1〜10質量部である、ビードフィラー用ゴム組成物。【選択図】なし
