PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency brake device of an escalator that realizes stably stop of foot steps on emergency when a driving chain of the escalator is broken.SOLUTION: The emergency brake device of an escalator comprises: a bracket fixed to a main frame of the escalator; a sliding ring, an outer periphery of which is inserted into the bracket and to an inner periphery of which a rotating shaft is inserted; an elastic pressing portion that is engaged with the outer periphery of the sliding ring and a hole of the bracket so as to inhibit sliding between an inner periphery of the hole and the outer periphery of the sliding ring; a pin that is engaged with a rotation regulating hole provided in the sliding ring so as to regulate rotation angles; and the rotating shaft, to one end of which is fixed a shoe lever and to the other end of which is fixed a ratchet pole. If a driving chain connecting a main shaft of the escalator to a driving machine is broken, the shoe lever is turned and the pin reaches an end of the rotation regulating hole so as to transmit rotation force to the outer periphery of the sliding ring, so that the elastic pressing portion is opened, the inner periphery of the bracket hole and the outer periphery of the sliding ring slide, the ratchet pole is rotated and engaged with a ratchet wheel so as to stop movement of the escalator.

    【課題】エスカレータの駆動チェーンが破断した非常時に、非常制動装置が踏段の停止を安定して実現する。【解決手段】エスカレータの主枠に固定されたブラケット、ブラケットに外周が挿入され回動軸を内周に挿入する摺動リング、摺動リングの外周とブラケットの穴に係合し穴の内周と摺動リング外周間の摺動を阻止する弾性押圧部、及び摺動リングに設けた回転規制穴に係合し回転角度を規制するピン及び一端にシューレバー他端にラチェットポールを固定した回動軸を備え、エスカレータの主軸と駆動機を繋ぐ駆動チェーンが破断すると、シューレバーが回動し、回転規制穴の端にピンが到達することで回転力を摺動リング外周に伝達し弾性押圧部が開放されブラケット穴の内周と摺動リング外周とが摺動し、ラチェットポールを回転させラチェットホイールに噛み合わせてエスカレータの動きを停止する。【選択図】図5
