PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard sail ship having a detection device for gripping a precise ship driving power.SOLUTION: In a hard sail ship including a mast body M extending upward from an installation face on a ship, a hard sail Sa attached to the mast body M for receiving a wind power, a driving force detection device is constituted by forming a notch hole in the stem of a mast body M, by equipping the notch hole with a shear stress detector having a thin plate fixed, and by attaching a strain detector S1 to the thin plate. By directly detecting the shear stress caused to act on the mast body M by a wind, the driving power of the ship can be precisely determined irrespective of the displacement of the wind center. By detecting the strain to occur in the thin plate, a higher output value than that of the case, in which the strain to occur in the thick late is detected, can be obtained so that the errors or disturbances to enter at the stage of amplification can be reduced to acquire an accurate propelling force.

    【課題】正確な船の推進力を把握するための検出装置を備えた硬帆船を提供する。【解決手段】船舶上の設置面から上方に伸びるマスト体Mと、マスト体Mに取付けられた風力を受ける硬帆Saとを備えた硬帆船において、マスト体Mの基部に切欠き孔を形成し、切欠き孔に薄板を固着したせん断応力検出部を設け、薄板に歪検出器S1を取付けて推進力検出装置を構成した。風によりマスト体Mに作用するせん断応力を歪検出器S1で直接検出することによって風中心の変位にかかわらず船の推進力を正確に求めることができる。薄板に発生する歪を検出することにより、厚板に発生する歪を検出する場合に比べ大きな出力値が得られるので、増幅の段階で入る誤差や外乱等を少なくでき、正確な推進力を得ることができる。【選択図】図1
