PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately and stably measure an underwater position of a suspension object.SOLUTION: A suspension object position measurement method includes installation of position measurement means 12 at a location that is on a crane 26 on a work barge and only follows rotation motion of a boom 30 (and does not follow rise and fall motion of the boom). The installed position measurement means 12 measures a horizontal position of a part which is a part of each of a plurality of wires 32 and extends upward from a part connected to a suspension object 34, to calculate a horizontal position and a rotation angle of the suspension object 34 from results of the position measurement for the wires. As described above, a position of the suspension object 34 thrown into water is not directly measured, but the horizontal position and the rotation angle of the suspension object 34 are calculated from positions of the plurality of wires suspending the suspension object 34. Thereby, the position of the suspension object 34 can be measured more accurately and stably without directly receiving influence of bubbles in water or a water flow.

    【課題】吊り下げ対象物の水中での位置を、より正確に安定して計測する。【解決手段】本吊り下げ対象物の位置計測方法は、作業船上のクレーン26の、ブーム30の旋回動作にのみ追従する(ブーム30の起伏動作には追従しない)箇所に、位置計測手段12を設置する。そして、設置した位置計測手段12により、複数のワイヤ32の各々の、吊り下げ対象物34との接続部から上方へと延びる部分の水平方向の位置を計測し、これらの位置計測結果から、吊り下げ対象物34の水平方向の位置及び回転角度を算出する。このように、水中に投入される吊り下げ対象物34の位置を直接的に計測するのではなく、吊り下げ対象物34を吊持している複数のワイヤ32の位置から、吊り下げ対象物34の水平方向の位置及び回転角度を算出するため、水中の気泡や水流の影響を直接的に受けることなく、より正確に安定して計測することができる。【選択図】図3
