PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vent duct manufacturing method capable of appropriately maintaining ventilation performance.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a vent duct 10 comprises: an on-off valve insertion step of inserting an attachment pin 46 that is provided in an upper edge portion 44 of an opening portion communicating a cabin interior A with a cabin exterior B of a duct body 20 and that protrudes to the cabin exterior B into an insertion hole 22A provided in an on-off valve 22 that can close the opening portion to suspend and support the on-off valve 22 in the cabin exterior B of the duct body 20, the duct body 20 formed of resin, including the opening portion, the attachment pin 46, and a plurality of protrusions 60 formed from a tip end portion of attachment pin 46 along an axial direction of the attachment pin 46; and a melting step of pressing a heating member 102 against the protrusions 60 to heat the protrusions 60, melting the protrusions 60 to spread in a direction apart from one another, and forming a retaining flange 58.

    【課題】換気性能を良好に維持することができるベントダクトの製造方法を得る。【解決手段】ベントダクト10の製造方法は、車室内Aと車室外Bとを連通する開口部を備え、開口部の上縁部44に車室外側へ突出された取付ピン46を備えると共に、取付ピン46の先端部から取付ピン46の軸方向に沿って複数の突出部60が設けられた樹脂製のダクト本体20に対して、開口部を閉塞可能な開閉弁22に設けられた挿通孔22Aを取付ピン46に挿通させてダクト本体20の車室外側に開閉弁22を吊り下げて支持させる開閉弁挿通工程と、複数の突出部60に加熱部材102を押し当てて加熱させ、互いに離間する方向へ広がるように溶融させて抜け止め用のフランジ部58を形成する溶融工程と、を有する。【選択図】図4
