PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently secure a crash stroke for the dimension of a pre-collapse shock absorbing member of a vehicle including a wood material receiving a shock load in a fiber direction at a time of a shock.SOLUTION: In a shock absorption structure 11 comprising a shock absorbing member 21 that includes a wood material 31 receiving a shock load F at a time of a shock in a fiber direction, and a frame 41 surrounding an outer periphery of the wood material 31 in the fiber direction, the wood material 31 is collapsed while being compressed by the shock load F and a hole 33 into which the collapsed part of the wood material 31 can be projected is formed to extend in the fiber direction.

    【課題】衝撃時の衝撃荷重を繊維方向に沿って受ける木材を備える車両の衝撃吸収部材において、潰れる前の寸法に対して効率よくクラッシュストロークを確保する。【解決手段】衝突時の衝撃荷重Fを繊維方向に沿って受ける木材31と、該木材31の繊維方向の外周を囲う枠体41とを備える衝撃吸収部材21を備えた衝撃吸収構造11において、木材31は、衝撃荷重Fにより圧縮されながら潰れ、且つその潰れた部分が食み出すことのできる孔部33が繊維方向に延びて形成されている。【選択図】図3
