PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of correctly detecting gesture of operation regardless of physical characteristics, habit and the like of an operator, and a vehicular operation device.SOLUTION: An input device includes: an input unit in which an operator performs predetermined operation to thereby perform input; a storage unit that stores a reference range set on a virtual coordinate; a control unit that identifies operation of the operator on the basis of the reference range and trajectory of operation having been performed by the operator with respect to the input unit; determination unit that determines whether the trajectory of the operation by the operator is beyond the reference range; and a range setting unit that updates the reference range on the basis of the determination result of the determination unit.

    【課題】操作者の身体的特徴や習慣等にかかわらず、操作のジェスチャを正しく検知することのできる入力装置及び車両用操作装置を提供する。【解決手段】操作者が所定の操作を行うことにより入力する入力部と、仮想座標上に設定した、基準範囲を記憶した記憶部と、入力部に対して操作者が行った操作の軌跡と基準範囲に基づいて、操作者の操作を識別する制御部と、操作者の操作の軌跡が基準範囲を超えたか否かを判別する判別部と、判別部による判別結果に基づいて、基準範囲を更新する範囲設定部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
