PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical beacon device that can reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: An optical beacon device 10 performs light modulation control on a light projection unit of a light emitter and receiver 30 in accordance with given conditions. For example, when an amount of ambient light detected by an optical sensor of a light receiving unit 36 is small, the light projection unit is controlled so as to reduce projected light. When an amount of light received by the light receiving unit 36 is small, the light projection unit is controlled so as to reduce projected light. In addition, when a light reception level of uplink light in the light receiving unit 36 is low, the light projection unit is controlled so as to reduce projected light. In addition, during a night time zone, the light projection unit is controlled so as to reduce projected light.
