PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship and a resistance reduction method of the ship which change an apparent shape of a bow part shape of the ship by varying a local flow formed by a blowout port and a suction port provided in a bow part portion of the ship while following the change in a navigation speed and the change in a navigation state, reduce wave resistance by controlling a bow waveform generated by an outside flow that is the whole water flow at the bow part of the ship, and reduce the entire resistance of the ship.SOLUTION: At a portion of a ship 1 which may be under the water surface, the ship 1 comprises a local flow formation part 5 constituted by a blowout port 11 and a suction port 21 of a fluid Fa in pair, and a local flow formation system having pump systems 10, 20 for controlling a blowout amount Wo of the fluid Fa blown out from the blowout port 11, or a suction amount Wi of the fluid Fa sucked from the suction port 21, or both.

    【課題】航行速力の変更や航行状態の変化に追従させて、船体の船首部部位に設けた吹出孔と吸引孔とで形成される局所流を変化させることで、船舶の船首部形状の見掛けの形状を変化させて、船舶の船首部における全体の水流である外部流によって生じる船首波形を制御して造波抵抗を低減し、船舶の全体の抵抗を減少する船舶及び船舶の抵抗減少方法を提供する。【解決手段】船舶1の水面下になる可能性のある部分に、流体Faの吹出孔11と吸引孔21とを対にして構成された局所流形成部5と、前記吹出孔11から吹出される流体Faの吹出量Wo、若しくは、前記吸引孔21から吸引される流体Faの吸引量Wi、若しくは、その両方を制御するポンプシステム10、20を有する局所流形成システムを備えて構成される。【選択図】図1
