PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an a sufficient heating effect while suppressing the deterioration of fuel economy.SOLUTION: This vehicle control device comprises: an engine efficiency calculation part which calculates engine efficiency calculated from an engine output which is obtained by summing an axial output being an output for vehicle traveling and power generation, and a heat output for heating cooling water, and a fuel consumption amount; and an operation point decision part which decides an operation point of an engine. The operation point decision part decides the operation point by distributing heating energy necessary for heating to heater power which is allotted as the power of an electric heater contained in the axial output, and the heat output.

    【課題】燃費の悪化を抑制しつつ、十分な暖房効果を得る。【解決手段】この車両制御装置は、車両の走行および発電のための出力である軸出力と、冷却水の加熱のための熱出力と、を合算したエンジン出力と、燃料消費量とから計算されるエンジン効率を算出するエンジン効率算出部と、エンジンの動作点を決定する動作点決定部と、を備える。動作点決定部は、エンジン効率に基づいて、暖房に要する暖房エネルギーを、軸出力に含有され電気ヒータの電力として充当されるヒータ電力と、熱出力と、に配分することによって動作点を決定する。【選択図】図1
