PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put a direction of a shaft to an optimum direction even in a place in which a gradient is changed, in an axial direction control device which controls a direction of a shaft-equipped device having a shaft.SOLUTION: In an axial direction control device, gradient change information indicating a gradient change position in which a gradient of a road is changed in a progressing direction of an own vehicle and a gradient change amount is acquired (S120), and a direction of a shaft in a shaft-equipped device is changed to a direction which corresponds to a gradient after a change in the gradient change position before the own vehicle reaches the gradient change position on the basis of the gradient change information (S130, S230, S240, S330 and S340). According to such an axial direction control device, since the direction of the shaft corresponding to that after a change of the gradient is changed before the gradient is changed, the direction of the shaft can be put to an optimum direction even in a place in which the gradient is changed.

    【課題】軸を有する有軸装置の方向を制御する軸方向制御装置において、勾配が変化する場所においても軸の方向を最適な方向に向けることができるようにする。【解決手段】軸方向制御装置においては、自車両の進行方向において道路の勾配が変化する勾配変化位置および勾配の変化量を示す勾配変化情報を取得し(S120)、勾配変化情報に基づいて、自車両が勾配変化位置に到達する前に、勾配変化位置における変化後の勾配に対応する方向に、有軸装置における軸の方向を変化させる(S130,S230,S240,S330,S340)。このような軸方向制御装置によれば、勾配が変化する前に、勾配の変化後に対応する方向に軸の方向を変化させるので、勾配が変化する場所においても軸の方向を最適な方向に向けることができる。【選択図】図2
