PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible the light operability of a shift lever between a D-position and a B-position, and anti-erroneous operation performance while achieving vehicle deceleration according to a required level of a driver, in a vehicle in which the B-position for selecting a brake mode as an operation position of the shift lever is arranged.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device performs required deceleration level determination control for determining that a required deceleration level is high as the number of times of operations of a shift lever from D to B is large, and deceleration control for controlling a deceleration device so as to obtain large vehicle deceleration as the level is high. The vehicle control device controls a wheel brake device as a reduction device so as to obtain first prescribed vehicle deceleration at a level 1, also controls the reduction device so as to obtain vehicle deceleration which is obtained by adding a second prescribed amount to the first prescribed amount at a level 2, and sets the first prescribed amount smaller than the second prescribed amount.

    【課題】シフトレバーの操作位置としてブレーキモードを選択するためのBポジションが設けられた車両において、運転者の要求レベルに応じた車両減速度を実現しながら、Dポジション、Bポジション間のシフトレバーの軽快な操作性と耐誤操作性の両立を図る。【解決手段】シフトレバーのDからBへの操作回数が多いほど要求減速度レベルが高いと判定する要求減速度レベル判定制御と、レベルが高いほど大きな車両減速度を得るように減速装置を制御する減速度制御とを実行し、レベル1のとき第1所定量の車両減速度を得るように減速装置としてホイールブレーキ装置を制御し、レベル2のとき第1所定量に第2所定量を加えた車両減速度を得るように減速装置を制御し、第1所定量を第2所定量より小さくする。【選択図】図5
