PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat support device which preferably absorbs an impact load in a front collision and a rear collision of a vehicle with a simpler structure than a conventional seat support device.SOLUTION: A seat support device 1 includes: a lower rail 2 which is fixed to a vehicle body B and extends along a fore and aft direction; an upper rail 3 where a seat S is fixed to an upper surface, the upper rail 3 slidably supported on the lower rail 2; and an energy absorption member 4 which is formed by a composite material, in which resin is reinforced by fiber, and fixed to a lower surface of the upper rail 3. A recessed part 21, which opens to the upper side and has inner side surfaces 21a, 21b formed at both ends when viewed in a fore and aft direction, is formed at the lower rail 2. The energy absorption member 4 is stored in the recessed part 21 contacting with the inner side surfaces 21a, 21a of the recessed part 21 which are formed at both ends when viewed in the fore and aft direction.
