PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship rudder that attains improvement in propulsion efficiency.SOLUTION: The ship rudder includes: a rudder blade 30 disposed on the same axial center at a rear side of a propulsion propeller; and a top end plate 40 and a bottom end plate 50 which are provided in a top end portion and a bottom end portion of the rudder blade 30 while being expanded to both port and starboard sides. The rudder blade 30 includes a plurality of ribs 70 disposed on a rudder surface at both the port and starboard sides in parallel with the top end plate 40 and the bottom end plate 50. The rudder blade is formed from a front edge part 31, an intermediate part 32 and a rear edge part 33 in a contour of a horizontal cross section. The front edge part is formed by protruding forwards in a semicircular shape. The intermediate part continued to the front edge part is formed by increasing a width in a streamline shape towards a widest portion and gradually decreasing the width towards a narrowest portion. The rear edge part continued to the narrowest portion of the intermediate part is formed in a fish tail shape by gradually increasing a width towards a rear edge widest portion of a predetermined width. The plurality of ribs are disposed in the narrowest portion of the intermediate part.

    【課題】推進効率の向上を図った船舶用舵を提供する。【解決手段】推進プロペラの後方の同軸心上に配設する舵ブレード30と、舵ブレード30の頂端部と底端部にそれぞれ左右両舷側に張り出して設けた頂端板40および底端板50を備え、舵ブレード30は左右両舷側の舵面に頂端板40および底端板50と平行に配置する複数のリブ70を備える。舵ブレードは、水平断面の輪郭において前縁部31と中間部32と後縁部33からなり、前縁部は前方へ半円形状に突出した形状をなし、前縁部に連続する中間部は最大幅部に向けて流線型状に幅が増大した後に最小幅部に向けて徐々に幅が減少した形状をなし、中間部の最小幅部に連続する後縁部は所定幅の後縁最大幅部に向けて徐々に幅が増大した魚尾形の形状をなしており、前記複数のリブは、中間部の最小幅部に配置されたことを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
