PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unusual travel point detection device and a method for detecting an unusual travel point, in which data on an unusual travel point on a road can be collected by widely used sensors.SOLUTION: An unusual travel point detection device detects an unusual travel point that is a point where unusual travel in a width direction of a road occurred, in which travel history data from a vehicle, including the position of the vehicle, a slewing value that is a value indicating a physical amount of slewing of the vehicle, is obtained, and slewing values contained in a plurality of travel history data are corrected to slewing values associated with each of preset points subject to calculation. By calculating a reference slewing value, which is an average slewing value, from a plurality of the slewing values associated with the same point subject to calculation and calculating a level of deviation of travel history data subject to the detection of an unusual travel point from the reference slewing value, a point with a large level of deviation from the slewing value is detected as an unusual travel point.

    【課題】道路の特異走行箇所に関する情報を普及性の高いセンサを利用して得ることができる特異走行箇所検出装置及び特異走行箇所検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】道路の幅方向への特異な走行が生じた箇所である特異走行箇所を検出する特異走行箇所検出装置であって、車両から、当該車両の位置及び当該車両の旋回に関する物理量を示す値である旋回値を含む走行履歴情報を取得し、複数の走行履歴情報について、それら走行履歴情報に含まれる旋回値を、予め設定された演算対象地点毎に関連付けた旋回値に補正する。また、同じ演算対象地点に関連付けられた複数の旋回値を用いて、平均的な旋回値である基準旋回値を演算し、特異走行箇所の検出対象とされる走行履歴情報について、基準旋回値からの乖離度を演算し、基準旋回値からの乖離度が大きい箇所を特異走行箇所として検出する。【選択図】図1
