PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary power unit capable of avoiding an increase in a dark current attributed to the provision of a feedback circuit.SOLUTION: An auxiliary power unit for a vehicle is provided with a power storage part connected in parallel with a DC power source to which a voltage is applied from the DC power source when an ignition switch is turned on, a voltage boosting part for boosting an output voltage of the power storage part and supplying it from an output terminal to an external load and a voltage boosting control part with a voltage terminal to which the voltage boosted by the voltage boosting part is applied for controlling the operation of the voltage boosting part on the basis of the level of the voltage applied to the voltage terminal, and includes path control means provided in the middle of a path to connect the output terminal of the voltage boosting part to the voltage terminal of the voltage boosting control part for connecting/disconnecting the path according to the on/off of the ignition switch.
