PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side wall rubber composition for a high performance tire capable of improving steering stability performance and cut chipping resistance performance in good balance, and to provide a high performance tire having a side wall prepared by using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a side wall rubber composition for a high performance tire which comprises a hydrogenated styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and at least one rubber component selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber, a butadiene rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber, where the content of the hydrogenated styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer is 5 to 40 mass% in 100 mass% of the rubber component and the total content of the natural rubber, butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber is 50 to 95 mass%.

    【課題】操縦安定性能及び耐カットチッピング性能をバランス良く改善できる高性能タイヤ用サイドウォールゴム組成物、及び該ゴム組成物を用いて作製したサイドウォールを有する高性能タイヤを提供する。【解決手段】水添スチレン系熱可塑性エラストマーと、天然ゴム、ブタジエンゴム及びスチレンブタジエンゴムからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種のゴム成分とを含有し、ゴム成分100質量%中、前記水添スチレン系熱可塑性エラストマーの含有量が5〜40質量%、前記天然ゴム、ブタジエンゴム及びスチレンブタジエンゴムの合計含有量が50〜95質量%である高性能タイヤ用サイドウォールゴム組成物に関する。【選択図】なし
