PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-driven power steering device capable of increasing strength of connection between a lower shaft and a torque detecting sleeve having a back end externally fitted and fixed to the lower shaft, even when great torque is applied to the lower shaft.SOLUTION: A male serration part 39 is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical part 22a that is provided at a front end of a lower shaft 13a. A caulking part 44 is formed by plastically deforming a part, which radially overlaps the male serration part 39, of a torque detecting sleeve 31a, which is arranged on the outside diameter side of a torque detecting uneven part 29 of an output shaft 16, radially inward. The caulking part 44 is engaged with the male serration part 39 of the cylindrical part 22a.

    【課題】ロアシャフトに大きなトルクが加わった場合でも、このロアシャフトと、このロアシャフトに後端部が外嵌固定されたトルク検出用スリーブとの結合強度の向上を図る事ができる電動パワーステアリング装置を提供する。【解決手段】ロアシャフト13aの前端部に設けた筒状部22aの外周面に雄セレーション部39を形成する。出力軸16のトルク検出用凹凸部29の外径側に配置された前記トルク検出用スリーブ31aのうち、雄セレーション部39と径方向に重畳する部分を径方向内方に塑性変形させる事により形成されたかしめ部44を、筒状部22aの雄セレーション部39に係合させる。【選択図】図3
