PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous navigation calculation method mounted on a portable device 1 capable of decreasing a load on a storage capacity and shortening processing time by reducing a processing data amount as well as processing steps.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a portable device 1 and an autonomous navigation calculation method capable of calculating a movement direction without requiring a large storage capacity and long processing time by adding a movement direction calculation section 33 having a simple calculation method to a conventional portable device mounted with a geomagnetic sensor and an acceleration sensor.
