The invention relates to an in-vehicle beverage maker 10 comprising a water reservoir 14 for receiving water 16 for making a respective beverage 20. The beverage maker comprises a dispenser opening(s) 18 for dispensing the beverage into a drinking vessel 22 and a heat exchanger 38 configured to be supplied with drive system coolant 42. The component may comprise an electric machine(s) for driving the vehicle and may comprise a battery 12. The component may also comprise an internal combustion engine. The heat exchanger may be adjacent to the water reservoir. The beverage maker may comprise a heating/colling chamber 36 located downstream from the heat exchanger and that can be electrically operated and supplied with water from the reservoir and configured to heat the water when it flows through the chamber. A method of using the beverage maker is also disclosed. A vehicle comprising the beverage maker which is configured to perform the method is also disclosed.
