A mounting bracket 40 for mounting an exhaust treatment component (1, Fig.3) to a support surface (11). The bracket comprises curved contact surfaces 41, 42, each defined by a circle C1, C2 arc, having center points F1, F2. Each arc is contained in the circle of the other arc (See Fig. 14). In reference plane P3 (Fig.8), the contact surfaces form opposite sides of a recess (45) bounded by an open side through which, in use, the component may be introduced. Both contact surfaces terminate at the open side, defined by line L1. The centre points are spaced apart along a line L2 substantially parallel with L1. The bracket may mount components of different diameters. The radius R1, R2 of each circle may be from 95% to 105% of the radius of the other respective circle. The centre points may be spaced apart by a distance D1 between 8% and 13% of R1 or R2. The reference line L2 may be located outwardly of the recess with respect to the open side, and L1 and L2 may be spaced apart by a distance D2 of no more than 4% of R1 or R2.
