A marine surveying vessel for towing seismic equipment with one or more cables, the vessel comprising: at least one skeg 100 mounted on the vessel and extending at least below a waterline of the vessel. At least one shuttle 140A-B is movable along the at least one skeg and at least one tow point (Fig.3C, 142) is disposed on the at least one shuttle and movable along the at least one skeg therewith. The at least one tow point supports at least one of the one or more cables. The skeg may mount below a stern to a keel of the vessel. The skeg may comprise a rail 130 extending along it wherein the shuttle is movable along the rail. The skeg may also comprise a pulley 150A-B moving the shuttle along the skeg.
