A switch 100 for opening a current conduction path is provided. The switch 100 comprises an ignition chamber 104 and a pyrotechnic actuator 102 arranged to release gas into the ignition chamber 104 upon ignition. The switch 100 comprises first and second conductors 106, 108 each comprising connection contacts. In a first position, a third, moveable, conductor 100 of the switch 100 is resiliently supported between, and in electrical contact with, the first and second conductors 106, 108 to define a current conduction path. In a second position, the third conductor 110 is arranged to be electrically separate from the first and second conductors 106, 108. The third conductor 110 is moveable in a direction from the first position towards the second position in response to actuation by the pyrotechnic actuator 102. The switch 100 may comprise at least one resilient member 112 arranged to resiliently support the third conductor 110 in the first position until actuation of the pyrotechnic actuator 102. A vehicle comprising the switch, and a method of operating the switch, are also provided.
