The invention includes a crank 10, a pedal 20 and a fastener 30. The crank has a flower-shaped keyed hole 11 at an outboard end thereof. The pedal 5 has a body and a spindle 21 with a connecting end 210. The connecting end is formed with flower-shaped keys so that it can be inserted into the hole. An end surface of the connecting end is formed with a first threaded hole 214. The fastener passes through the flower-shaped keyed hole and screws into the first threaded hole for fixing the connecting end of the spindle to the crank. The spindle may have a flange 211 with a conic shaped section 213 located next to the flower shaped keys to abut against the crank. The spindle may also have adjustment and limiting sleeves. A buffering bushing 223 may be sandwiched between the conic section and body of the pedal. The flower shaped keyed hole and keys may be described as wheel shaped teeth arranged in protrusions and recesses and they may have Mohs taper. The flange may be located at the outer end of a spindle and may have a hexagon hole.
