The general principle of the invention is based on the observation of correlations between the speed of a motor vehicle moving on a road and the past dynamic behaviour of the motor vehicle. This observation has led the inventor to envisage the use of machine learning for creating a driven machine learning model in order to predict a future speed of a motor vehicle moving on a road on the basis of the dynamic behaviour of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, the driven machine learning model is a so-called predictive model in which significant correlations are discovered in a set of past observations and in which attempts are made to apply said correlations to cases that have not yet been observed.
