In a first step, image analysis data and/or operation state data are received, in a secondstep, the image analysis data and/or the operation state data are used so as to activate the first state and/or second state of a driver observation system; in a first shooting mode, under an activated first state, a first sensor device and a second illuminating device are connected, a second sensor device and a first illuminating device are cut off; under an active second state, the first sensordevice and the first illuminating device are connected, the second sensor device and the second illuminating device are cut off; in a second shooting mode, under an activated first state, the secondsensor device and the first illuminating device are connected, the first sensor device and the second illuminating device are cut off; under an activated second state, the second sensor device and thesecond illuminating device are connected, and the first sensor device and the first illuminating device are cut off.
