The system (1) has a compressible compartment (4) comprising electrochemical cells (2), which are electrically connected with each other by electrically conducting components (31) i.e. standard bus-bars. A breaking unit (51) breaks the electrically conducting components during an impact. The electrically conducting components comprise weakness zones (61) adapted to break during an impact towards contact of the breaking unit with electrically conducting components. The breaking unit is made of a dielectric material. The breaking unit is placed on an external circumference of the cells.
