The invention relates to an electronically actuated automatic gearshift device for karting, comprising: an electronic management mechanism having a control unit (15) with predetermined software; and microswitches (2A, 2B) and electronic downshift and upshift cams (1A, 1B) disposed on a steering wheel, the control unit (15) being activated when it receives a signal sent by the microswitches (2A, 2B) activated by the pressure exerted by a driver on the downshift and upshift cams (1A, 1B), the control unit (15) processing the signal and acting on a servomotor (7), which rotates to actuate a gearshift shaft, moving same and engaging the selected gear. In motors in which the gearshift shaft remains static in the position in which the gear is engaged, the gear is blocked. The system also operates in motors in which the gearshift shaft is rotated to engage the gear and returns to a rest position.
