Systems and methods for an overheating control system for an electrical power harness (300) disposed within an enclosure (27) of an aircraft (10). The system includes a temperature sensor (77) disposed within the enclosure (27) and communicatively coupled to an electronic processor (70, 72). The electronic processor (70, 72) is configured to monitor, via the temperature sensor (77), a temperature within the enclosure (27), compare the temperature to a predetermined threshold, and adjust a power output provided to one or more supply lines of the harness (300) based on an amount in which the temperature exceeds the predetermined threshold.
