A saddle rail clamp assembly (400) comprising:an upper saddle rail clamping portion (430) configured to be rotatably coupled with a housing (493), said upper saddle rail clamping portion comprising at least one opening (435) therein;a lower saddle rail clamping portion (420) located between said upper saddle rail clamping portion (430) and said housing (493); anda fastening system, said fastening system comprising:an extended seatpost saddle clamp nut (810A, 810B) configured to be installed at least partially within said at least one opening (435) of said upper saddle rail clamping portion (430); anda fastener (815A, 815B) configured to be installed at least partially within a fastener opening (495) of said housing (493), said fastener configured to be coupled with said extended seatpost saddle clamp nut (810A, 810B) to compressively couple said upper saddle rail clamping portion (430) with said lower saddle rail clamping portion (493) to retain a saddle rail therebetween, wherein said extended seatpost saddle clamp nut (810A, 810B) does not decrease a saddle bottom-to-dropper seatpost standoff distance (720), and wherein said saddle rail clamp assembly (400) minimizes a required length of said fastener (810A, 810B).
