The invention relates to a method (30) for transferring electrical energy between a vehicle-side high-voltage battery (3) and a vehicle-external high-voltage device (12), comprising the following steps: – providing an energy transfer circuit (1) which can be controllably switched between an active, energy-transferring operating mode and an inactive, energy-transfer-interrupting operating mode, – electrically connecting the energy transfer circuit (1) in the inactivated operating mode thereof to the high-voltage battery (3) and the high-voltage device (12), – electrically precharging capacitances (13) that are electrically effective between the high-voltage battery (3) and the high-voltage device (12) for the transfer of the electrical energy to a predetermined target voltage level by means of a precharge circuit (20), an electrical energy required for the precharging being drawn from the vehicle-side high-voltage battery (3), and – switching the energy transfer circuit (1) into the active operating mode thereof after the precharging in order to transfer the electrical energy between the high-voltage battery (3) and the high-voltage device (12). The invention furthermore relates to an energy transfer circuit (1) and to an electric vehicle (2) comprising such an energy transfer circuit (1) and a high-voltage battery (3).
