The disclosure provides an electronic device and method of operating the same to prevent accidents by figuring out a movement path of another vehicle or moving object located or moving in a vicinity of a vehicle in advance. An electronic device according to an embodiment of the disclosure obtains movement information of at least one surrounding moving object in a vicinity of a vehicle, predicts a movement path of the at least one surrounding moving object based on the movement information obtained, determine a safety way of the vehicle based on the movement path of the at least one surrounding moving object and at least one of a departure point, a destination and a stopover of the vehicle, predicts an expected collision point due to a surrounding moving object located on or approaching the safety way, and displays a user interface (UI) representing the safety way and the expected collision point.
