The system (1) for charging lithium batteries of industrial vehicles comprises: at least one lithium power supply set (15) provided with: at least one row of lithium cells (2); management/control means (3) operatively connected to the row of cells (2) and configured to manage/control the latter; a charging set (7) configured to charge lead- acid batteries having a predefined charging voltage range, provided with a connector body (5) electrically connected, in use, to the power supply set (15), and configured to deliver through the connector body (5): at least one charging current of the row of cells (2) the value of which depends on the charging value of the row of cells (2) sensed by the charging set (7); at least one charging voltage of the row of cells (2) the value of which depends on the charging value of the row of cells (2) sensed by the charging set (7); wherein the system (1) lacks communication means (8a, 8b) between the power supply set (15) and the charging set (7), and wherein the management/control means (3) are configured to adjust the value of at least one of either the charging current or the charging voltage.
