A wheel position identifying system (50) includes a receiver (71) and transmitters (51), which are respectively provided in two wheel assemblies (32, 35) of a wheel assembly set (31). When each transmitter (51) detects that it is located at a specific position, the transmitters (51) transmit a wireless signal including an ID code. A receiver controlling device (72) of the receiver (71) obtains information indicating a rotation angle of the wheel assembly set (31) from a rotation angle detecting unit (41) of a vehicle (10), while associating the information with the ID code each time receiving the wireless signal from the transmitters (51). Based on a phase difference between rotation angles associated with different ID codes, the receiver controlling device (72) identifies whether each of the transmitters (51) is provided in a right wheel assembly (32) or a left wheel assembly (35).
