Embodiments of this application provide a drive circuit for an electric vehicle and a charging/discharging method. When the drive circuit is in a discharging stage, a first battery pack, a second battery pack, and a third battery pack in the drive circuit may be connected in parallel to supply power to a motor to drive the motor, and when the drive circuit is in the discharging stage, the first battery pack, the second battery pack, and the third battery pack in the drive circuit may be connected in series, so that a charging device can charge the drive circuit by using a high voltage, thereby improving charging efficiency of the drive circuit.
