An output voltage obtaining unit (70) receives information from an external charging facility (80) and obtains a maximum output voltage (Vc) of the external charging facility (80) from that information. An upper limit voltage calculator (70) calculates a battery voltage (VB) which is an inter-terminal voltage at the time of end of charging of a battery (10). A switching unit (70) receives a result of comparison from a comparator (70). When relation of Vc ≥ VB is satisfied in the result of comparison, the switching unit switches a charging relay (30) to connect a DC inlet to a power line (La) and a power line (Na). When relation of Vc < VB is satisfied, the switching unit (70) switches the charging relay (30) to connect the DC inlet to a bypass power line (Lb) and a bypass power line (Nb).
