The object of the present invention is to ensure that the lifespan of a storage battery reaches a target lifespan. Accordingly, a representative battery system according to the present invention is provided with: a battery that can be used repeatedly, a battery control unit that controls a lifespan of the battery by constraining a battery use condition associated with battery lifespan deterioration, an estimation unit that calculates an estimated lifespan of the battery obtained by constraining the battery usage condition, and a restriction unit that, based on the calculated estimated lifespan, determines a lifespan insufficiency by which the battery falls short of a target lifespan, and restricts and resets the battery use condition of the battery control unit in order to reduce the lifespan insufficiency.
