The method may comprise building a first lowermost section of the shaft (20) and installing guide rail elements (25) to the first section of the shaft. An installation platform (500) moving on guide rails transports and supports installation apparatuses. An outer wall (50A) and an inner wall (50B) of the shaft may then be raised upwards after which the space between the outer wall and the inner wall may be filled with concrete. When the wall construction has reached a height of a new section of guide rail elements, then a new section of guide rail elements may be installed to the wall construction.
