A method for adjusting an output power of a charging device, comprising the following steps: where an object to be charged is newly connected, determining whether a charging device group is in a full-load state (S110); if the charging device group is in a full-load state, determining a defected total output power and the maximum reduction magnitude of a total output power of the charging device group; and when the defected total output power is greater than or equal to the maximum reduction magnitude, reducing an output power of a charging device in use, so as to charge the newly connected object to be charged. In the method for adjusting an output power of a charging device, after an object to be charged is connected to a charging device group, if the charging device group is fully loaded, the utilization rate of a charging device can be maximized by dynamically allocating an output power, thereby solving the problem of a low utilization rate of a charging device in a peak charging hour.
