The proposal concerns a method for supporting a first mobile station (PL) to predict the channel quality for a planned decentralized wireless communication to a communication partner station (PV1). The proposal comprises the steps of sending to the first mobile station (PL) from a second mobile station (10) a report about the channel quality measured at the second mobile station (10). This report comprises at least one information entry about the channel quality measured by said second mobile station (10) at a position for a communication to or from a third mobile station (10') indicated in the report. This way the first mobile station (PL) can benefit from the historical channel quality measurements of the second vehicle (10). The accuracy of the channel quality prediction can thus be increased.
